Kaboom

Sparks flew the first time they met. He was a journalist, she was holding a sparkler…she started waving it in circles saying “look, I’m making a figure eight”…she had the most beautiful smile and her eyes were as dark as the sky on a moonless night. He was speechless. The thunder of a firework exploded in his head…then another…it reminded him of the time he watched the fireworks with his first girlfriend…that seemed so long ago now…he remembered how nervous he felt, how he spent hours making sure his car was spotless and waxed perfectly, how he agonized over what to wear that she would like, and of course would they be kissing later tonight on Parkers Hill. His dream was broken by a woman’s voice…”Andrea, come over here now”…The beautiful girl with the sparkler skipped back to her family.
