On the road to Payson AZ to see my friend Terri, I left Las Vegas and started to heard toward Hoover Dam. Never actually went to the dam but the view of Lake Mead was great.
Sitting on a park bench in Central Park, Manhattan, NY. There is nothing like Central Park. I feel energized and at peace at the same time. I vow to make it back to Central Park.
My longtime friend Dave is the unofficial Mayor of Spur Texas. He started the tiny house movement there, and I get to visit with him once in a while and discuss life, death, and avoiding people as much as possible. Yes, I want to live in Spur.
Early morning fog on the Mississippi River on the St.Paul lookout at Mounds Park. The river flows north at this point, West Saint Paul sits on the left side of the picture.
At our house on Winslow Avenue we have a raised flower garden that we could see out of our picture window. Barbie did a great job with the flowers. I took this picture while focusing on baby Joyce, but the flowers dominated. Such a curious little look.
I really loved the first house I ever bought on my own. Nice high ceilings. That's my art of the wall and the room always felt like it was bathed in a golden light at certain times of the day.
That's my boy and a dog. The dog is in for a surprise but you will have to ask Jesse about that. Not sure where the picture was taken but it must have been at his mom's house.
Once I went to Costa Rica with Jeff and Scotty. One day I took off on my own and when to the rain forest, climbed to a plateau, found a 40ft monolith to climb, and sat there for hours. This bell was at the base.
As I turned away from the infinity pool on top the hill looking at Napa Valley, I walked in the door and saw my friend Gerard. The only person in my life who mastered the art of always finding the next fun thing to do.
San Jose, Costa Rica. In the middle of the town square, with poverty and homeless at each corner, a man sits and get a shoe shine.
Georgene on a country road somewhere between Saint Cloud and Balaton, MN. Barbie was pregnant with Joyce so it must have been Summer 2010. I always liked this picture because of idea of the dog finding his way home. Sort of like Lassie.
Once I was a producer of a comedy show in Minneapolis with a guy named Mike Etoll. It was a very abstract comedy show with rather R-rated material. Anyway, for an audition, a parent brought in his young daughter and she stepped up to the microphone and started telling jokes about how she was going to kill Barney (Sesame Street). She was precious
Once I was staying at my friend Terri's home in Lafayette LA. Sitting in her dining room, late a night, I noticed this really beautiful armoir. I loved the Japanese panels on the top which showed a man and a women meeting for the first time. On the final panel they seem to exchange gifts. Terri had the coolest backyard studio where she did her art.
Once I had this really cool job where I had a lot of freedom to work my own hours and do what I wanted. Of course I never actually took advantage of the opportunity that often, but one day I did, and since I could do whatever I wanted, I got on my bike and went to Loring park, Minneapolis, and read all afternoon in the beautiful sunshine. You would have found me on the northwest side of the flower garden, looking at the little lake extension, on the walk between the tennis court and the buildings.
