About Lost Dog Army

Lost Dog Army is a major change in music for me. I purchased an AKAI MPC Live last year and started working on sampling and beat making. It completely changed how I view music. I started going back to my roots in Detroit with all the Motown influences like Supremes, Temptations, Four Tops, Marvin Gaye, Martha and the Vandellas, I was 10 years old and that music was what I loved.

Fast forward too many years and I'm listening to Dilla, Missy Elliot, Illmatic, Barclay Crenshaw, and Mobb Deep. I still have my hand in punk, rock, noise, alt, etc. but I LOVE beat making for then anything right now. Hope you like these songs. If you are a singer/rapper get ahold of me. Anyway, these beats mix with my noisy abstract found sounds, and that is where I am. I don't see things changing for a while. The Akai MPC is an amazing instrument.
