Chapter 1 - The Executive Overview

Terrence McManus was born in Los Angeles, California.    His Father was a brutal, handsome, funny, Irish loser alcoholic and his mother was a quiet woman trying to keep the family together.   Mother liked big band music.  Father liked Wayne Newton. He grew up basically alone, with a sister who was too cool for words.  Enough said.

Anyway, Terrence was bounced around from school to school growing up.  He never quite made any friends.  Although there was this one kid who he use to trade 45's with, but that kid up and moved to Hawaii.  He heard later the kid was always getting beat up by Japanese gangsters.  One especially clever music trade was convincing Chip ( the Japanese gang punching bag) to trade a Buckingham's "Kind of a Drag" and the Beatles "I am the Walrus" for Creams "Sunshine of your Love".  Always the music mogul, Terrence began his career as a worldwide (web) entertainer late in life.  Years in the peace corp., stopping the Vietnam War from restarting, and doing scientific research on the effects on marijuana, stopped short a brilliant career that up to this point, as you read this, has yet to be fully actualized and manifested for the full enjoyment of mankind.

During the period where testosterone levels are peaking for Terrence, and noticing that all the popular girls (or stated another way, the girls who were willing to make out in the car) seemed to be spending time with the boys with the first letter of the school sewn onto a p-leather jacket of some sort, Terrence felt compelled to get one of these odd pleather jackets, and was told that he had to spent extra time in the locker room after school, and learn to catch, fetch, punk, kick, dribble, and shoot round rubber balls in a competitive setting with parents watching.  Willing to do most anything at this point for a shot at the backseat, Terrence tried to join sports teams, but was not quite developed enough to make the "A" squad.  He tried nevertheless tried out for all the teams and got his ass kicked, pointed and laughed at, and finally was given a Letter for spending the required innings in baseball.   His first experience in the backseat was only days after receiving the B (go Bruce Red Raiders go) after which Candy Bauer two years his senior and dating the captain of the football team, took Terrence out on to county road C2 and showed him the basics of kissing, necking, and don't touch me there.

Since Dad couldn't hold a job, Terrence got to travel a lot as a young lad and lived in Los Angeles CA,  Fresno CA, St. Louis MO, South Bend IN, Kalamazoo MI, Battle Creek MI,  Minneapolis MN, Savage MN, Crosby-Ironton MN, Bruce WI, Ladysmith, WI, San Diego CA, Baltimore MD, Guildford CT, Branford CT, Detroit MI, St. Clair Shores MI, finally settling in St. Paul MN where Terrence lives a life of virtual leisure. A tasty Martini is usually waiting for him on his return from the high seas, and his chauffeur and servant staff adores his sense of humor, and timing.

As a young child, Terrence did the usual things in life such as hunting with his dog, playing with Army men, and climbing trees, but that's not important.  What is important is that you are reading this right now, and you have a chance to experience second hand the inner workings of one of the 21st centuries most underrated writers.  Yes...underrated.  Why.  Because basically, Terrence is not that great a writer.  Sure, he seems to get most of the spelling right thanks to spell checker, and his use of i before e except after c seems to have paid dividends, but do we really think he will ever get the Pulitzer...heck probably not.

On the left are all the jobs that Terrence held during his life up to this point.  It should be noted that Terrence is now a writer, musician, artist, and software executive.  He ambition is to get enough cash from writing to eventually start what he is hoping will be his final career - a famous painter.  Famous like Rembrandt, Hopper, Winslow Homer, etc.  You get the idea.

Life part II - Terrence gets self esteem.  (Coming Soon)
